Note from the President

Welcome to the 2015-2016 session!

On behalf of the Board of Directors, welcome to the Hampton Roads APICS Chapter.

The Hampton Roads APICS Chapter is grateful to be able to serve the greater Tidewater. We are a non-profit educational organization addressing supply chain and operations management issues, and providing professional development opportunities to our members and local student chapters.

As you'll find in our Vision and Mission statements, our Chapter serves our membership, area organizations, and the local market primarily through 4 pillars:

  1. Education
  2. Continuous Learning
  3. Career & Employer Services
  4. Community

The Chapter holds meetings and webinars each month from September through June. These meetings present an excellent opportunity to share & learn best practices, as well as to network with other industry professionals. Additionally, we regularly offer Education and Training, to include classes that support our CSCP and CPIM certifications. Public classes and private, on-site offerings are both available.

We are always looking for energetic volunteers to help manage the chapter. If you are interested in developing leadership skills and contributing to our organization's success, ask any Board Member how you can help.

Please let me know if there is anything that we can do to help you and your company. Thank you for visiting our web site and I look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

David Manns
President – APICS Hampton Roads Chapter

Hampton Roads Wins
C-BAR Gold Award for 2015!

C-BAR Gold Award 2015

Chapter Management Excellence is an integral component to enhancing the member experience. Successful APICS chapters provide their members with opportunities for stellar education, career development, and networking.

The APICS Chapter Benchmarking and Recognition (CBAR) program recognizes chapters that have exceeded minimum standards and exemplify excellence in overall chapter management. We are proud to announce that your chapter received the 2015 CBAR Gold Award designation, an admirable accomplishment for an APICS chapter.

As a member of an APICS Gold Award Winning Chapter, the CBAR designation signifies your chapter’s commitment to providing an exceptional membership experience.

Thank you for your commitment to chapter excellence. We look forward to more great accomplishments from your chapter in the years ahead.

Good job and keep up the great work!
