Hampton Roads Wins
C-BAR Bronze!

"The Hampton Roads Chapter has qualified for the Bronze Chapter Benchmarking and Reporting (C-BAR) award level. Your award submission demonstrates your chapter’s dedication to providing exemplary member services and professional development opportunities to APICS members and customers."
--2008 District Manager Committee
Note from the President
It has been a long and chilly winter and spring is finally here! We currently have a few board positions to fill for the 2009 - 2010 year. If you would like to volunteer your time to assist your chapter please contact me at lsimmons@lifetouch.com.
Volunteering Benefits
Think about the skills you have to offer. You have acquired many skills, both personal and career-based, which can be put to good use. So don't underestimate yourself.
Be open to learning something new. Learning something new always boosts your self-esteem and may be applicable to your job as well.
Be recognized by your employers. Volunteering demonstrates that you take responsibilities above and beyond the everyday expectations.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the APICS International Conference and Expo on October 4-6 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Please remember that you are required to have a passport to travel to Canada. You can register online at www.apics.org. This will add 24 points to your certification maintenance requirements.
If you have any suggestions for plant tours, speakers for our PDMs or educational programs, please contact me.
